X cost creature and creature tokens vs. Displacement Wave

Displacement Wave

If a permanent has an X in its mana cost, that X is 0.

A token has converted mana cost 0 unless its a copy of something else, in which case it has the mana cost of whatever its copying.

If I use Displacement Wave on a battlefield of tokens of any random type, that are not a copy of something else, and two Endless Ones for example; and I pay 0 for X in Displacement Wave's mana cost, would that return all nonland permanents that the casting cost would cover?

You are correct.

If there are normal tokens such as soldier tokens. They will be bounced for X=0. If the token is a copy of some other card. It retains all aspects of that card like a token of Pack Rat is cmc 2 and won't be bounced

107.3f If a card in any zone other than the stack has an X in its mana cost, the value of X is treated as 0, even if the value of X is defined somewhere within its text.

This interaction is one of the reasons why Steel Hellkite is so good, because you pay for his second ability and just nuke the defending player's tokens, if any, and any Endless Ones or Hangarback Walkers he may have.

Note that when you cast a spell or activate an ability with X in its cost, you don't pay for it and then determine X. Rather, you announce the value of X as one of the first choices in the process. Payments are later calculated based on the declared value.
