Would Heartless Hidetsugu and quietus spike stack?

If I equipped Heartless Hidetsugu with Quietus Spike and activate heartless hidetsugu’s ability would the effects stack or would it just be redundant?

Quietus Spike only triggers on combat damage; Heartless Hidetsugu ’s activates ability is not combat damage. As such, they neither stack nor are redundant - Quietus Spike is simply never triggered..
