Would Burning Vengeance effect trigger off Relentless Dead return and reborn effects, since you are paying a cost to either cast another zombie or return him to hand?

Say I have Burning Vengeance out and my Relentless Dead dies. I use it's effect to pay 1 black mana to return it back to my hand AND pay 3 black mana to return a Geralf's Messenger from the graveyard to the field. Would Burning "deal 2 damage" effect trigger from either of Relentless's effects? Are they even spell casts?

The Burning Vengeance effect would not trigger because the cards are not being "cast".
