Will Livewire lash activate against removal?

Asked by WhiteWeasel 7 years ago

So, I'm improving my infect deck, and I'm planning on obtaining Livewire Lash for my infect creatures.

I checked the ruling on it, and it says: "When the equipped creature becomes the target of a spell, the ability granted to it by Livewire Lash will trigger and go on the stack on top of it. It will resolve before the spell does."

So if I were to say, use Might of Old Krosa on my Blighted Agent (with Livewire Lash equipped) and my opponent was not having any of that, so they respond with Murder What happens?

Does my opponent get 4 poison counters since the equipped creature was targeted by two spells?

Yes. If you then respond with Blossoming Defense it will up that to 6 poison counters, while countering Murder so your Blighted Agent survives to deal the 7/9 combat damage and finish them off.
