Who owns the tokens created by Hunted Dragon?

Asked by HumanTragedy 8 years ago

When they go to the opponent, do I own them or does my opponent, since they were generated by my card? Hunted Dragon creates 3 2/2 white Knight token creatures under opponents control when it comes into play.

110.5a. A token is both owned and controlled by the player under whose control it entered the battlefield.

So, that would be your opponent in this case.

Also, tokens in general enter the battlefield under your control, unless otherwise specified as in the case of Hunted Dragon.

Okay, I don't want to hijack this thread, but I have to ask: Why do I want to give my opponent 3 2/2 creature tokens?

I see it as adding three hurdles I have to overcome to attack my opponent directly. Then again I'm new to this game as a TCG and there's quite a few cards I cannot for the life of me understand what makes them powerful.
