When would I play Secure the Wastes so they can attack this turn?

My ideal game ending combo would be Brutal Hordechief + Secure the Wastes to deal a large blow before conbate damage. When would i have to cast Secure the Wastes in order to do that?

Unless you give them haste the tokens won't be able to attack the turn they come into play. You should ideally cast Secure the Wastes in your opponents end step so he can't use Sorcery speed removal to get rid of them before they attack.

Without something to give them haste - like say Hammer of Purphoros, you can never play Secure the Wastes and attack with the tokens on the same turn.

What you might be thinking of however, is that Secure the Wastes is an instant. So you can pass the turn and wait to play it in your opponents end step and then move to your turn. Which sort of acts like haste since they have less opportunity to respond before they attack.
