What is an Aftermath card's CMC on the stack?

Asked by TakeInventory 6 years ago

If I cast the Spring half of Spring / Mind while a Metallurgic Summonings is on the battlefield under my control, do I create a 3/3 Construct token, or a 9/9 Construct token?

I know if I was flipping the card with a Combustible Gearhulk, it would see the total CMC of both sides, but the new split card rules have me unsure about the card's properties when it's a spell on the stack.

The CMC of any split card on the stack is the CMC of the half being cast (or total CMC in the case of a fused split card such as Beck / Call). Anywhere else the CMC of a split card is the sum of the halves.
