What do you do if you get stuck in a mandatory loop?

So, Ajani's Chosen is on the field and I cast Enchanted Evening... There is a mandatory loop of infinite enchantment cats created.

If no one breaks the combo, what becomes of the game? I would imagine my opponent shouldn't need to scoop, and I shouldn't be penalized do to an infinitely long card interaction. So would the game just end in a draw as the round clock ran out?

The game ends in a draw immediately. You don't need to wait for the round time to end.

The game would end in a draw. Much like the loop that is created with 3 Oblivion Rings that target each other as they come into play.

It is important to note that with 3 Oblivion Rings that they must be the only legal targets on the battlefield when this happens. If there are any other legal targets at any time then the loop must be broken by targeting the other target at some point.

So with Enchanted Evening in play, if I were to play Back to Nature or Merciless Eviction, would that effectively Armageddon everyone?

Back to Nature doesn't prevent regeneration so its closer to Day of Judgment than Wrath or Damnation for that portion.

It is broken, that's why I intend to use it

haha perfect! but you'd better have a Avacyn, Angel of Hope or something

That wouldn't help. I'm running Merciless Eviction, so indestructible permanents would be no use

I feel like if you're in a place where exiling all permanents including your own is a strong play, you probably ought to just be able to win from where you're standing without it.

It's mostly to make everyone angry. A fun hard reset for the game

oh gotcha haha i thought we were still talking about Back to Nature... this would be as annoying as the Frozen AEther + Stasis decks in legacy
