Splinter Twin token copy's tap ability

Asked by SorcerersBone 9 years ago

When the creature Splinter Twin enchants creates a token copy of itself, does that token also have the tap ability? So Splinter Twinning a Soul Warden could generate infinite life?

A copy effect copies everything written on the original, the results of any copy effects the original is currently subject to, and nothing else. The copy of Soul Warden won't have the Splinter Twin ability from the original.

The infinite combos that exist with Splinter Twin always involve a creature with an ability that will let the token copy untap the original. Pestermite, Zealous Conscripts, Deceiver Exarch, etc.

Negative. Splinter Twin gives the creature its enchanting the ability.

However, A Soul Warden will prevent a lethal swing from a Deceiver Exarch as you gain +1 each new token.
