SOI Delirium mechanic

Asked by scipionumantia 8 years ago

According to MTG Salvation wiki:"The card types that could show up in your graveyard are artifact, creature, enchantment, instant, land, planeswalker, sorcery, and tribal. Supertypes like basic or legendary, and subtypes like Vampire or Equipment don't count. The number of cards doesn't matter, as long as you have four or more card types."I believe cards that are enchantment/creature, such as Aegis of the Gods would count as two towards your total requirement of four. But how would this mechanic work on double sided planeswalkers such as Nissa, Vastwood Seer  Flip? would it count as both creature and planeswalker? or would it depend which side was placed upward when it was put into a graveyard? and also if it was put from the library into the graveyard directly without ever hitting the battlefield would it only count as a creature? I just want to gain some insight before I go basing a deck around this mechanic.Thank you for all your help!

For any double faced card, its default characteristics are just the front face. The only time the back face is considered is when the card is on the battlefield and transformed. Nissa, Vastwood Seer  Flip is just a Creature in the graveyard.

You're also right about multi-type cards (Aegis of the Gods, Ornithopter, etc.) counting as each of their different types for the purposes of Delerium.
