simple color identity question

Hi :D I've read the color identity rules and from what I understand it means I cannot run Soul Burn with Sen Triplets as my commander correct?

shadow63 I'd imagine so, it's just something I have available to run. I'm trying to spend a little as possible and use what resources I have available to me :D

You can run Soul Burn in Sen Triplets. The words of colors is much different then the actual mana symbol. From what I believe you can run it in Sen Triplets

not sure where you read the rules but i'm guessing it wasn't anything official. it "should" have explicitly mentioned colored mana symbols that appear anywhere except reminder text. although for now, the only reminder text that involves mana symbols is for the "extort" ability.

As shadow63 said, the Iceage printing has a red mana symbol on it. The oracle text doesn't include a red mana symbol though. So it's color identity does not include red.

aaaaah, see I have the old print with the mana symbol on it that's why I assumed I couldn't. that's great :D

I would go by the Oracle text as well for old cards like this.

I ice aged printing has a red symbol in the text box. But the card isnt very good theres better options
