Seeker, Prowess and Drown

Asked by thewyzman 8 years ago

Since 702.107 only has two sentences covering Prowess, I'm going to take an educated guess here and say:

  • Casting Drown in Sorrow triggers Seeker of the Way's Prowess, granting it +1/+1 until EOT, making it a 3/3, surviving the -2/-2 from Drown, and making it effectively just a 1/1 until EOT.

Correct?

Correct. A Prowess trigger will always end up resolving before the spell that triggered it.

The above answer is correct because you play a spell, the prowess trigger goes on the stack after the Drown in Sorrow so it resolves first making the Seeker a 3/3 before the drown in sorrow takes effect.
