Rally the Ancestors x Vanishing

Asked by leoncaine 1 year ago

If I enchant a creature with Vanishing after it’s brought back from the graveyard with Rally the Ancestors. Can I then phase out said creature to save it from exile during my next upkeep?

Yes that will work. When your next upkeep starts, the "exile this" triggered ability will go onto the stack, and you can respond by activating Vanishing. The exiling ability won't be able to do anything to the phased-out creature.

leoncaine: An answer to your question has been up for a while. Since there don't seem to be any more follow-ups or corrections to be made, I marked it as the "Accepted answer" so this topic can move out of the list of unanswered questions. In the future you can take care of this yourself using the "Mark as Answer" button on the response that you feel best answers your question.

I try to avoid selecting my own responses when I do this, but in this case it was the only option.
