Question regarding Shelldock Isle

Asked by twc1321 9 years ago

Can I use the card that gets removed with Shelldock Isle multiple times or just once?

Just once.

When you activate Shelldock Isle's ability and cast the facedown exiled card, it will move from the exile zone to the stack. If it is a nonpermanent spell, it will go to the graveyard once it has resolved, and it'll go to the battlefield if it's a permanent.

Either way, the card will no longer be in the exile zone for Shelldock Isle to cast. If you activate the ability again, it will do nothing. Shelldock Isle will not "remember" which card it exiled, and cannot cast it again since it is no longer in the exile zone.

(If the card is exiled again by Path to Exile or flashback, etc, you still could not cast it again since it would not have been exiled due to Shelldock Isle's ability.)

Just once. Once you've played the card, it has been physically played, and there is no longer any card exiled with Shelldock Isle. You don't play a copy of the exiled card or anything.
