Question about trigger timing of Gargos, Vicious Watcher

Asked by GoblinsBeatElves 3 years ago

Been trying to build a Gargos, Vicious Watcher EDH Deck recently, and I’m a little confused on how his second ability’s trigger would work. For example, if I casted a spell that targeted 3 of my creatures, and there were 3 4/4 creatures my opponents controlled that I wanted to hit, would I be able to kill all of those (would the 3 fights all take place at the same time), or would Gargos die before the third one (the fights take place one after another, so I’m only able to kill 2 before Gargos dies)? Thanks for any clarification. Coming back to MTG after a while away, a bit fuzzy with some of the rulings like this

Gargos, Vicious Watcher 's ability multiple times, and will resolve one at a time. After it fights the second creature, it will die and won't be around to fight the third.
