question about flagstones of trokair

Asked by kylothian 9 years ago

lets say i use Scapeshift to look for four Flagstones of Trokair when they hit the field do the triggers resolve separately or simultaneously. Then if the triggers resolve separately while the first scapeshift resolves are the other flagstones still on the battlefield when the land from the first trigger hits the ground or are they sacced as well waiting to resolve?

First, you should really choose a more descriptive title. Something like "Multiple Flagstones of Trokair ETB," maybe.

All four Flagstones of Trokair will enter the battlefield simultaneously.

Then, when Scapeshift is done resolving, three Flagstones of Trokair will be put into your graveyard as a state-based action due to the legend rule. You get to pick one to keep, but it doesn't really matter which one it is. You'll get three total triggers - one from each Flagstones of Trokair you lost as a result of the legend rule.

Remember that no two objects on the stack ever resolve simultaneously. The abilities resolve one at a time, and you'll find the Plains cards one at a time. Each one will enter separately.

In theory, you should even search, shuffle, search, shuffle, search and shuffle, but most players will gladly let you shortcut that to just search out all three in one go.
