Phantasmal image + Kira, Great Glass-Spinner

Hey all-
Quick question: if I have Kira, Great Glass-Spinner on the battlefield, can I still cast a Phantasmal Image and have it copy one of my creatures on the battlefield, or will it be countered by Kira?

It will work.
A spell or ability only targets if it uses the word "target" in its text. Copy effects like that of Phantasmal Image are generally static abilities that create replacement effects that modify how something enters the battlefield. They don't target.

Yes you can. Cards like Clone don't target because they don't specifically use the word "target". This also means that it gets around Hexproof, Shroud, and Protection.
