Overloading A Counterflux

Asked by FearenRehnet 9 years ago

Is using the overload cost on Counterflux only useful for those times when both you and your opponent cast multiple spells on the stack?

Basically yes, it is used as a card to say that you have the final word. overloading is Not very useful vs most combo decks, since they almost always cast all their spells one by one and waiting for them to resolve.

Overloading will counter all spells on the stack not controlled by you, so it has better applications in multiplayer formats, at least for the overload part.

In addition to the above, overloading a Counterflux can also dodge the "Redirect trick" used against countermagic.
