Multiple Emrakul Triggers

Asked by Kryzis 9 years ago

If I were to cast a Show and Tell, and then each of us (assuming a Legacy mirror match) put an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn into play, how will the extra turns trigger?

The gatherer ruling on Show and Tell says all cards enter simultaneously but who gets the turn after, the one who cast it or the opponent?

If multiple triggers trigger at the same time they're put on the stack in APNAP order (Active Player, Non-Active Player). Your trigger would go on the stack first, and your opponent's would go on the stack next. An effect would be created to give your opponent an extra turn, and then the same for you.

The most recently created turn is always taken first, so you would take an extra turn, and then your opponent would take two turns in a row (which doesn't really matter, since you probably attacked and wiped their field).

Well, since Show and Tell doesn't cause you to cast anything, neither of you will get an extra turn.

On-cast abilities only trigger when you cast the source card as a spell. Show and Tell just instructs you to put the cards directly onto the battlefield, and this process does not involve casting any of the chosen cards.

It happens. There have been several times when I assume from the wording of the question that something happens, so I don't double check the cards and make sure that it's supposed to happen at all.
