might of the masses interaction

Asked by fallensaviour 7 years ago

Lets say i have Mirrorwing Dragon and Silverfur Partisan in play along with 3 other generic wolves. i then cast Might of the Masses targeting the dragon. what buff does each wolf get? does it scale or are all the tokens generated then buff added after

When you target the dragon, its ability triggers and copies the spell for each other creature you control. During the resolution of the ability, Silverfur Partisan's ability triggers 4 times and "waits" to go on the stack when able.

Once Mirrorwing Dragon's ability has resolved and the copies of Might of the Masses are on the stack, the 4 triggers from Silverfur Partisan go on the stack on top of them all. They will resolve, giving you 4 wolf tokens. (Note that these tokens will not get their own copy of Might of the Masses). Then the copies and original Might of the Masses will all resolve one at a time, but the buff will be the same for all of them.

Your creatures you target with the original and copies of Might of the Masses will get +9/+9 until end of turn.

cool, was just a little confused at when tokens were generated relative to each copy of might resolving

All the tokens are created before any of the copies resolve. It'd be an identical scenario if you only targeted Silverfur Partisan with Might of the Masses. His trigger would resolve before the spell, giving you the token before Might of the Masses resolves.
