Metallic Mimic and etb abilities

so recently i am trying to build an aggro tribal ally deck for modern. so for example if i have a Hada Freeblade on the battlefield and i play a Metallic Mimic naming ally, will hada get a counter from its own ability?

Yes, because Metallic Mimic enters the battlefield as the chosen creature type because of the wording "As Metallic Mimic enters the battlefield."

If it said "When Metallic Mimic enters the battlefield," then it would not trigger Hada Freeblade.

Yes, Metallic Mimic enters as the chosen type so it will trigger any etb effects.
