Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Phyrexian Unlife. Infinite?

So my question is whether this is infinite "protection" or not. Since the Phyrexian Unlife says if your life total is 0, damage is dealt in the form of poison counters and then Melira, Sylvok Outcast says you can't have poison counters. So what would be the ruling here?

I wouldn't rely on it too heavily though since using removal on your Phyrexian Unlife would make people very happy.

Greater Auramancy and Swiftfoot Boots could make that a little more difficult to remove. If you're playing casual, a few Phyrexian Hydra s would make Melira, Sylvok Outcast even more fun.
