Lurrus requirements vs MDFCs

Can I have Lurrus of the Dream-Den be my companion if I'm building a Shaile, Dean of Radiance  ^Flip commander deck? Does Lurrus's requirement care about the total value of the card, or only the "front" value of the card? Related to that, could I cast the back side of Shaile from my graveyard using Lurrus's ability?

While not on the stack or on the battlefield flipped, MDFCs only have the characteristics of the front half. So Lurrus will only see the Shaile side and accept it.

You cannot cast Embrose with Lurrus because he has CMC 4.

The technical answer is that the first step of casting a spell is to put it onto the stack (Embrose preliminarily goes on the stack). Then you have to announce a couple of different things, among of which is how you're casting it. When you choose Lurrus, the game sees that Embrose is not CMC 2 or less, and undoes the casting process as this is an illegal action.
