Lifelink against protection

I have a Slippery Bogle with a Daybreak Coronet (and a bunch of other crap) on top of it, and I swing and am blocked by a Mistcutter Hydra. Do I get lifelink life? (Does NOT have trample).
Added questions:
-If I had trample, would I get any life? If so, how much?
-If I had Spirit Link would I get any life? If so, how much?
-If I had Spirit Link and trample how much life would I gain?

So, Mistcutter Hydra has protection from blue, and Slippery Bogle is blue (and green.) No damage would be done to Hydra, so no life would be gained (from lifelink nor Spirit Link.)
If Bogle had trample, you would need to assign "lethal" damage to the Hydra (equal to its toughness) and then you would gain life from the damage that trampled over. Spirit Link stacks with lifelink, so with both attached, each point of damage could gain you 2 life.
