Lands count as permanents?

This is a really dumb question... however i just wanted to ask. i'm about 99% sure they are, but they have no color, so they dont count towards colored permanents. the reason i ask is for Rakdos the Defiler. when you sac half the non-demon permanents this includes lands right?

thanks, like i said, i was pretty sure, but that shadow of a doubt forced me to ask before i knew for sure.

His ability only checks sub-type... unless you got Demon Lands :D

A Permanent is any object that is on the battlefield; the object's type (creature, land, artifact, etc) does not matter.

Yes. Lands will be counted in his ability.
