In 2HG are teammates allowed to have more than 4 of the same cards?

I am unsure of the ruling in this regards, so could someone please advise?If i have 4x Mana Leak 's, can my teammate also have another 4? or are we limited to 4 in total within the two of us?

That is untrue. The Magic Tournament Rules state:
9.5 Two-Headed Giant Constructed Rules
Two-Headed Giant Constructed tournaments use Unified Deck Construction rules (see section 8.4).
8.4 Unified Deck Construction Rules
Team Constructed tournaments use Unified Deck Construction rules: With the exception of cards with the basic supertype or cards with text that specifies otherwise, a teams combined decks may not contain more than four of any individual card, based on its English card title. (For example, if one player is using four copies of Naturalize in a Team Constructed tournament, no other player on that team may have a Naturalize in his or her deck.) If a card is restricted in a particular format, no more than one of that card may be used by the team. No players may use cards that are banned in a particular format.

In 2HG giant each individual decks follow the same deck construction rules. Each deck could have four of any given card if they each person wanted.
TL;DR: Both of you can use 4x Mana Leak
