How does Avenger of Zendikar work with Hamletback Goliath?

Let's say I have a Hamletback Goliath out, and I cast Avenger of Zendikar and I get a bunch of 0/1 Plant tokens. If I respond to the Goliath triggering off the plant tokens with instant-speed ramp like Harrow, does the Goliath's ability factor in the +1/+1 counters the plants get when determining their power, or does it count the power they had when they entered the battlefield?

So, Avenger and the plants hit the battlefield triggering the giant, in response you cast harrow, pumping your plants, the giant trigger resolves, checks for power and finds the current power, and that is how many counters he gets.
