Gishath dealing damage to Planeswalkers

Hey there,

So, abilities that says "whenever this creature/ a creature/ equiped creature" etc like Gishath, Sun's Avatar triggers when the damage is dealt to planeswalkers as well?

No. If the creature reads "Whenever (this creature) deals damage to a player," and doesn't also say "or planeswalker," then it only triggers when it deals damage to a player. Planeswalkers are not players.
