Food Chain Rulings

Hello All, i'm currently thinking about using Food Chain in a deck, i'm wondering if the mana you get from Food Chain 's ability can be used to cast a morph card, for its morph cost not its normal mana cost, Scornful Egotist is the morph card in question. Thank you to those that can help.

You can use it to cast the card face down as a 2/2 creature because it will be a creature spell at that time. You may not use it to pay the morph cost to turn the card face up because that process does not involve casting a spell.
