Flickering Uro

Asked by Quickspell 4 years ago

Hi guys, I know that Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath can be flickered/blinked for multiple value. I don't really understand the interaction tough. When Uro enters the battlefield, the first ability goes on the stack and then the second. If I play Ephemerate right after Uro, it goes on the stack and resolves before Uro has even entered the battlefield. So I would need to cast Ephemerate after Uro has etb and triggered his second ability, but before he gets sacrificed due to the first triggered ability.

So how does that work? How can I slip in a flicker spell, when both those abilities enter the stack with one card?

When Uro enters the battlefield, if it did not escape, it create 2 abilities on the stack which you can put on the stack in whichever order you want, since they happen simultaneously and you control both of them. Regardless of that, if you want your ephemerate to generate value, you have to cast it before the sacrifice ability resolves.

If you do, ephemerate will resolve before Uro is sacrificed, it will exit and reenter the battlefield, and two more abilities will have to be put on the stack, all above the first instance of the sacrifice ability.

Next, provided nothing else happens, all abilities currently on the stack will resolve, and Uro will be sacrificed because of one of the abilities it generated.
