Flicker Lunar Force
Asked by MESS1802 6 years ago
If I have Lunar Force in play and an opponent casts a spell, if I flicker Lunar Force in response to having to sacrifice it, with its original trigger on the stack, would I be able to have the spell be countered and a flickered Lunar Force on the battlefield when the stack finishes resolving?

This will work.
From Lunar Force's Gatherer page:
The spell will be countered even if Lunar Force can’t be sacrificed, most likely because it has already left the battlefield. Casting a spell in response to an opponent’s Lunar Force’s triggered ability is generally a bad idea.
The new Lunar Force will be a completely new object, so will not be subject to the "sacrifice Lunar Force" portion of the previous iteration, even though it is the same physical card.
