flashing Aegis of the Gods in response to Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver

My opponent activates Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver (targeting me), I cast Chord of Calling to get an Aegis of the Gods, protecting myself from it.

We both agree that I don't get milled and that he can't target me for the rest of the game, but does the Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver's loyalty go up for that activation?

It is true, you are invalid target for the ability of ashiok while aegis is out due to hexproof. Loyalty is the cost of the ability of a planeswalker, so by the time it goes on stack, it will have increased (or decreased) accordingly.
