Faithless Looting and dredge.

Asked by Pheardemons 7 years ago

So If I were to cast Faithless Looting I understand I can dredge for both draws. What I don't know is how to announce the dredging (if that makes sense). If I cast Faithless Looting do I have to announce right there which two cards I want to dredge? Or if I dredge for the first draw, and that puts a different card that has the mechanic dredge, may I choose that card for the second "draw"?

Dredging is a replacement effect, not a trigger, so it can happen when no one has priority. Instead of drawing you may just say you're going to dredge X for whatever creature you have with dredge in your yard.

If you mill into another card with dredge you may dredge the second draw for that new card.

Thank you Raging_Squiggle, for both answers.

Each draw is considered to be a separate event, so "draw two" is actually draw one, and then draw another one.
