Can I cast Hulking Metamorph and target Skitterbeam Batallion to create three copies of Skitterbeam Batallion with Hulking Metamorph’s power?

Question: how about spells that create clones like see double? Will the clone token ETB trigger Skittering Battalion ability?

You can link cards by enclosing them in double square brackets.
See Double creates a token that is a copy of a target creature. The token was not cast, so you will not get the trigger from Skitterbeam Battalion.

Yes, "if you cat it" looks to see if the object that is being referenced was cast. You cast the Metamorph so it triggers.
