Emrakul's trigger resolves after library exiled - does opponent shuffle empty graveyard into library?

Asked by Mad_2012 7 years ago

Basically the title, but here is some context - I play a random mill card that puts Emrakul, the Aeons Torn into my opponents graveyard. Emrakul trigger goes on the stack, and in response I cast Ravenous Trap to empty their library. Emrakul trigger is still on the stack, but their graveyard is empty - do they still shuffle their (now empty) graveyard into their library?

Yes, they are still suppose to shuffle their empty graveyard into their library.

I believe you meant to say Ravenous Trap to empty or exile their graveyard. In this case the graveyard does get exiled and your opponent would shuffle no cards into their library. Essentially your opponent would shuffle their deck, but nothing new would be put in it.
