Downsize and Deathtouch

I was wondering if I were to cast Downsize and attack an opponent who has, for example, a Sedge Scorpion , because of Downsize making the Sedge Scorpion a -3/1, could it still potentially kill one of my creatures due to Deathtouch?Or vice-versa; If Sedge Scorpion attacks and I cast Downsize , could it kill?

The deathtouch creature has to do damage, so no, it would not kill. Same thing if you attacked with a Sedge Scorpion into a creature that had protection from green, because the damage is prevented, then deathtouch does not apply.
