Double Convoke

Would 2 Chief Engineer 's on the battle field essentially make each creature worth 2 colorless mana when tapped to cast artifacts?

Also please remember that tapping a creature for Convoke doesn't produce mana. Instead, it reduces the cost of the spell.

GreatSword Technically it doesn't really do that either at least not after the most recent rules change. When you're paying for the spell after all cost calculations, for each mana in the spell cost you simply choose to either tap a creature if applicable (any creature for generic mana or creature of the same color for colored mana) or to pay it with some mana producing ability instead.

No; additional instances of convoke are redundant. You can only tap each creature to pay the costs once.
