Does Saffi Eriksdotter combo with Gerrard weatherlight hero?

I know that Gerrard, Weatherlight hero will combo with Loyal retainers. Will his exile trigger override Saffi Eriksdotter’s trigger “sacrifice Saffi Eriksdotter: when target creature is put into the graveyard from play this turn, return it to the battlefield.” Gerrard’s text “when Gerrard, weatherlight hero dies, exile it, and return to the battlefield all artifacts and creatures in your graveyard that were put there this turn”

Saffi Eriksdotter , Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero
This combo works. The way to make sure it works out the way you want is this:
You must sacrifice Saffi Eriksdotter while Gerrard is still on the battlefield. Target Gerrard.
Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero dies, triggering both its ability and the delayed triggered ability created by Saffi's activated ability. You control both triggers, so you put them on the stack in any order you choose.
You want to stack the triggers so that the Saffi trigger resolves first. This will return Gerrad to the battlefield.
When the Gerrard trigger resolves, Gerrard is no longer in the graveyard and thus isn't exiled, but the rest of the ability will still do as much as it can since the ability doesn't rely on him being exiled in order to do its thing. All artifacts and creatures that were put in the graveyard so far this turn are returned to the battlefield, including Saffi.
Repeat.
