Does Olivia Voldaren's first ability trigger deathtouch and lifelink?

Suppose I equip Olivia Voldaren with a Basilisk Collar? How does that work upon use of her ping ability? Is it the insta-kill machine gun I hope it is?

It does indeed. Lifelink and Deathtouch work on any kind of damage, so dealing 1 damage with a creature ability like that does instantly kill any creature, gains you life and pumps your creature. Of course, you probably won't be able to use the second ability to much effect in that case.

Deathtouch and lifelink aren't triggered abilities. They're static abilities that apply automatically to any damage dealt by a source that has those abilities.

So yes, enjoy your new machine gun.
