Does Nissa's ult trigger Temur ascendancy's card draw?

Asked by Frayace 9 years ago

Nissa, Worldwaker ult says that the lands enter then become 4/4s. So they will not trigger Temur Ascendancy , correct?

No, the lands do not enter the battlefield. They were already there, otherwise Nissa cannot target them. So, no combo with Temur Ascendancy , except that lands that are creatures can have haste.

Of course the lands enter the battlefield. She searches for them in your library and then you "Put them on the battlefield"

I never really saw the "ult" part of the question. Still, the answer is no, it does not trigger. Spells and abilities resolve in the way they are written. First, the ability puts the lands on the battlefield. Then, the lands are animated and become creatures. Thus, they did not ETB as creatures and will not trigger Ascendancy.

That's correct.

They'll still be affected by Temur Ascendancy 's first ability though, which would make for a heck of an alpha-strike.
