Does Hushwing Gryff Affect the Raid mechanic?

does Hushwing Gryff shutdown Raid.

Hushwing Gryff only shuts down raid abilities that trigger when the creature enters the battlefield, like Bellowing Saddlebrute. It does not affect cards like Arrow Storm because the 'trigger' is on the stack.

Kind of.

Raid is an ability word. Ability words let you know that certain written abilities share a significant trait. "Raid" abilities, whether static, activated, or triggered, all do something if you have attacked with a creature this turn.

Hushwing Gryff only shuts down triggered abilities that would trigger when a creature enters the battlefield. In the case of raid, Hushwing Gryff can stop Bellowing Saddlebrute's ability, but it won't affect Howl of the Horde or Bloodsoaked Champion.

@merrowMania: Arrow Storm doesn't have any triggered abilities. In this case, raid is a static ability that functions while the spell is on the stack. The spell, not the ability, is the object on the stack.
