Does damage go on the stack?
Asked by horatio13 9 years ago
If I have a Goblin Bombardment on the battlefield and I attack with a Legion Loyalist (the battalion ability does not trigger) then my opponent blocks with a Grizzly Bears then after the 1 damage is dealt but before it (should I say) resolves can i sacrifice Legion Loyalist to deal 1 damage to Grizzly Bears thus killing Grizzly Bears .

No. Combat damage used to use the stack, but this was changed when M10 was released. Combat damage is now assigned and dealt as a turn-based action, and it happens before players get priority.

Thanks guys. But that really sucks because a deck of mine could really benefit from that.

Damage no longer goes on the stack; it used to before M10 came out, but then wizards changed it for some reason.
