Does Repeated Reverberation and Reverberate infinitely copy each other?

Asked by DragonChampions 4 years ago

If you cast Repeated Reverberation , it will copy the next spell you cast. You then cast Reverberate targeting Repeated Reverberation , creating 2 Reverberate s targeting Repeated Reverberation .

Can this process be made to go infinite?

There's a problem with the scenario you're describing: A spell has to resolve in order to create its effect. If you target Repeated Reverberation with Reverberate while RR is still on the stack, that means RR hasn't had a chance to resolve yet and you won't get any extra copies of Reverberate.

If you had already one Repeated Reverberation in stack before casting one you let resolve, it still doesn't go infinite, because RR only triggers on casting instants and sorceries and activating loyalty abilities and neither RR nor Reverberate cast any spells nor activate any abilities. You can infinitely copy Reverberate with Reverberate though.
