Do etb effects apply to taking control?

I have a Champion of the Parish and my opponent controls a Knight of the White Orchid , and I took control of it using Control Magic . Does my Champion get a +1/+1 counter?

No. Knight of the White Orchid was already on the battlefield. It didn't leave and reenter.

When a creature enters the battlefield, it has to come from another zone. Since Knight of the White Orchid is already on the battlefield, it doesn't enter the battlefield, it only switches sides.
