So regardless of the answer it will in no way change my gameplay bc this is a pointless question that I just want to know. So, can I cast a Dispel to counter itself??

That's what I figured, and as previously stated, I just wanted to know.

No, spells on the stack are not valid targets for themselves. This applies to Misdirection effects as well, you can't Redirect a Counterspell to itself. Also, if it isn't going to matter why even ask?
