Daretti, Scrap Savant minus ability vs Cyclonic Rift

so i use my darettis minus to sac and reanimate an artifact. he in responds rifst my board then says "now your ability fizzles since you dont have an artifact to sac.". is that interaction correct?
The ability resolves as normal:

You don't have an artifact to sac, so you don't.

The "if you do" part of the ability checks to see if you sacrificed an artifact.

You didn't, so the second part of the ability doesn't happen. You don't return anything.
You could get around this by having an artifact land like Great Furnace in play. Cyclonic Rift on bounces non-land permanents, so you'd be able to sacrifice Great Furnace to satisfy the ability's condition.

Another way you could get around this is, after Cyclonic Rift resolves but before Daretti, Scrap Savant 's ability resolves cast an artifact with flash like Galvanic Key so you have something to sacrifice.

Not technically fizzles, but yes if you don't have an artifact to sac you cannot return one from your graveyard.
