Cleansing + Platinum Emperion

How would Cleansing and Platinum Emperion interact? Would the controller of platinum emperion be forced to have their lands destroyed?

I think Cleansing is very unique. Are their any other interesting combos that could utilize this card?

Yes. The controller of Platinum Emperion would have all their lands destroyed because they can't pay life, as it would change their life total. Like it says in the card's reminder text, Platinum Emperion 's controller can't pay life unless it's 0.
