Changeling and Door of Destinies

Hey there,

Do changeling's triggers the effects of cards like Door of Destinies that checks for a certain creature type when you cast it? It works the same for cards like Cathars' Crusade or Herald's Horn Kindred Discovery?

The reminder text for changeling explains that "This card is every creature type at all times." This includes in zones other than the battlefield, such as on the stack. So when you cast Avian Changeling, you're not only casting a Shapeshifter spell, you're casting a Human spell, a Wizard spell, a Goat spell, a Construct spell, a God spell, and any other creature type that currently exists.

So it will indeed work with Door of Destinies, Herald's Horn, and Kindred Discovery.

Cathars' Crusade, by the way, doesn't care about creature types, just creature permanents. So even though Crib Swap also has changeling and thus all the creature subtypes, it isn't a creature permanent, and thus wouldn't trigger Cathars' Crusade. It would, however, work with Door of Destinies because the Door only cares that you're casting a spell (of any sort) with the chosen creature subtype, even if the spell in question is not, itself, a creature spell.
