cascade into sol talisman or similar

ok so Im working on a "cascade/storm deck"( Cascade ) and I started wondering how sol talisman would work with cascade. I know that when you cascade you play(cast) the card from exile. and sol talisman says:(Rather than cast this card from your hand, pay {1} and exile it with three time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter. When the last is removed, cast it without paying its mana cost.)
the part im confused about is at the beggining RATHER THAN CAST THIS CARD FROM YOUR HAND. so since its cast from exile do i still gotta pay the 1??

Also, you can link decks by including the entire "slug" from the end of the URL. In your case the slug is "07-08-21-cascade": cascade

You can link cards by enclosing them in double brackets.
Sol Talisman
Since you are casting it without paying its mana cost, the absence of a mana cost will not stop you from casting Sol Talisman off of cascade. You are also not suspending it, so you do not have to pay the suspend cost.
