Can Leonin Shikari protect everything with Lightning Greaves?

Hey everyone, so how good is Leonin Shikari? I mean, if I have it out and it's equipped with, say, Lightning Greaves, and my opponent casts Doom Blade targeting my Iona, Shield of Emeria. Now, in response, I move Lightning Greaves over to Iona, Shield of Emeria, does this mean Doom Blade fizzles? Or, because it had already selected its target, does it resolve and kill Iona, Shield of Emeria even after the equipping of Lightning Greaves resolves?
Bonus points: does this outcome change in any way depending on whether it's your turn, or your opponent's?

Yes the Doomblade will fizzle if you move Lightning Greaves to its target in response to it. It doesn't matter at all who's turn it is.

Yes, Leonin Shikari allows you to throw around Shroud with the Lightning Greaves, thus protecting from targeted spells and abilities such as Doom Blade.
No, the outcome won't change just because it's your or your opponent's turn.
